School Reviews

As for the academics, Edgewood is pretty good. Most of the teachers are good at their jobs and support each student well. However, there is not really a variety of classes at EWMS. It's just the basics, which are science (More like Biology in 7th grade, and Earth and Space in 8th grade), history & social studies, and math. I do commend the math program, however. It offers anything from Math 7 to 10th grade Geometry. The sad part of the academic program is, though, that the only truly gifted student program is Language Arts Academy. It is a great program, but the only one they've got. Finally, Foreign Language is only offered to 8th graders and is limited. Only recently did they except German into the program. EWMS only has Spanish teachers, but the French and German teachers come there from the Highschool everyday. Overall, Edgewood is a pretty good school, but it certainly has a long way to go before I would really reccomend it.
